Achievement at Strand - KS2 Results

How Our Children Achieve

We were extremely proud of how well our Year 6 children achieved, particularly in the headline measure of reading, writing and maths combined: 79% of the children at Strand achieved the 'expected standard' in all three subjects compared to 61% of children nationally whilst 24% achieved a 'high score' versus 7% nationally.

The 'progress measure' for each subject is a statistical comparison between schools, where 0 is the national average. The government has set the floor targets (the minimum standard required) to be -5 in reading, -7 in writing and -5 in maths.

The scaled score range runs from 80 to 120. On the scale, 100 represents the 'expected standard' for the age group.  Children with scores of 110 and above were working well above the 'expected standard'.
