Strand offers a wide range of after school clubs and enrichment activities. The staff are keen to use their skills with as many children as possible and volunteer to run a number of extra-curricular clubs from basketball to scrapbooking. We also offer clubs from a wide range of outside providers including skateboarding, streetdance, ukelele and taekwondo.

As part of our commitment to helping children achieve their utmost we provide a wide range of music tuition. We have a close partnership with Hounslow Music Service who provide excellent extra curricular teaching for a wide range of musical instruments. Every child learns to play either the French Horn or the Trombone in Year 4. Our children currently have the opportunity to learn violin, voila, cello, double bass, guitar, trumpet, saxophone, French horn and drums.

Many children choose to play in the Hounslow brass band and regularly perform in concerts. We have a strong choir who meet weekly and perform annually in the Hounslow Summer Festival.

Recently some of our talented musicians took part in the National Youth Brass Band Championships in Warwick University and played on stage at the Royal Festival Hall.
